Who We Are
We purchased Topnotch when our children were 9 and 11 because we wanted a place where our family could be together but still have plenty of room. Topnotch offers the best of all worlds with a main floor bedroom, fireplace and 2 conversation areas; games and hot tub on the first floor (along with a bedroom) and two bedrooms tucked quietly away on the top floor. ( Mom and Dad make good use of these at nap time.)
This place is meant to accommodate large groups and has a kitchen that lives up to the task. Plenty of counterspace makes meal preparation easy even as more than one cook bustles about rustling up dinner. We keep the cabin stocked with all the normal stuff, plus wine glasses, extra small appliances, usual (and some unusual) spices, a few staples that are sometimes forgotten, firewood and frankly anything else we can think of. We want our guests to enjoy the cabin as much as we do.
Living in A Tree House
It's hard to describe the feel of this cabin but the guest who described it as a luxury tree house was pretty close. Topnotch perches on the side of a hill covered in trees, so when you look out the windows you get the feeling you're floating in the trees.
If you step out onto the deck surrounding this floor, you are eye to eye with the middle of the trees where birds and small animals live. Even during the hardest part of winter, we often put out bird seed and are amazed at the number and various different types of birds that come to feed.
